Bye Bye Uncle

Today at the coal face was pretty hard-work. It was tough watching CONSTITUTION HILL, and we made a stupid blunder on our 7-horse acca. With five up and waiting for CH to take centre stage, Bet365 offered me a total cashout of approx £210 for our trebles, five folds and acca. Considering the 31 pt bet, that would have been odds of better than 11/2 with no further risk. However, Greed and Hope filled my betting shoes, and we marched on towards a somehow inevitable result. Of course, we could have laid a bit off, and yes, we made a 40+ pt profit. But I feel as though I should have swapped sense for brave. I hope you had more common-sense.

As one door opens, (stop it - you’re obsessed with doors. Ed), another closes, and so The Duke of Montecito has lost his appeal against people being beastly to him. The ruling dismisses his challenge to his police protection downgrade. Lord Justice Bean, Sir Geoffrey Vos, and Lord Justice Edis have delivered their judgement at the Court of Appeal:

“I could not say that the Duke’s sense of grievance translated into a legal argument for the challenge to Ravec decision… The conclusion, in my judgement, with which my colleagues Lord Justice Bean and Lord Justice Edith agreed, was that the Duke of Sussex’s appeal would be dismissed.” Sir Geoffrey Vos said.

What is so sad, is the endless immaturity of character he displays. His reaction is immediate to all issues - get out there and give an interview in which he thinks he’s scoring points. He possibly even thinks he’s manipulating the narrative. And every sentence he delivers, where he uses the word Truth, drives another nail into the coffin of his self-entitlement.

I am assuming the British taxpayer does not have to pick up the legal bill. Does this suggest that the Duchess of Malfoy will be flogging her biscuits and jams 247 (or As Ever Forever as it is known on the TV Shopping Channels)?

Also am I alone in seeing the irony in her authoring a book called The Bench; the Bench having just landed the pair with a chunky legal bill?

Talking of failing to translate incoherent arguments into positive results…
