Royal Ascot selections for Day 2, after two winners on Day 1 and some close shaves.

Most of the day simply idled away with good chums. Bliss. An Ascot Lunch, TV, chilled Bergerac, Macon Lugny, some exceptional Roses. Then to wash it down (??) thick cut ham, cold king prawns and my Coronation Chicken Bhuna with fresh Mango and Apricot. A healthy body demands veg so, Tomato and Pink Onion Salad, Tabbouleh, Corsican Courgette cheese and mint salad. Then a Raspberry mess with Old Etonian meringues, cheeses… and that was just the jockeys’ changing room.
