So, as Josh finally says, yes, after much pleading, and heads off to the Lords; and as Andy Morenorthernman agrees reluctantly to take his seat and crash the market; and as we lose Saint Wes of Bloodbank, from Emergency Ward 10, where’s Our Ange?

Luckily, it turns out that she has managed to spring free from the jaws of Honourable Members Regulating Corruption and faces no further charges, your honour. If it weren’t all so desperate, you would howl with laughter at hers and the coat-tailers’ earnest sincerity in hoping that we will finally believe she was always innocent and seeks only our long-term good.

Sadly, the smell of rotting fish, from this whole tax farrago, makes it impossible for me to smile whilst clenching my nose.

It is a fact that HMRC’s Stamp Duty investigations currently take just under three years (35 months) on average, and that’s because there are no staff. Bizarrely
