I am struggling to feel angry about any of it anymore. On various occasions over the past month, MPs have gathered and decried Gambling and all its ills, stating unequivocally, based on their encyclopaedic knowledge of betting and gambling, that it is all the fault of racing.
They misquote statistics from a report that even the anti-racing Gambling Commission has said is flawed (but still published it - because it serves their end purpose); they lumped horseracing and one-armed bandits into the same category and conflated fake arguments with wrong statistics to get to their goal, the end of gambling in any form the UK - other obviously than The National Lottery.
How does racing react? Hmm.
