Sucking the Diesel at Glorious Goodwood and Grand Galway

A second day of Gee Gees.

Our tips for the first day of Goodwood showed a profit of 24 pts plus, and affirmed the views of one of the local stable staff, about Boyd’s Own Paper. Pat told me the other day that my wise and occasionally profitable words, especially in relation to earlier in the month, suggested that BOP was now sucking diesel!

I am, it is fair to say, almost a native speaker of modern Gaelic, and can produce Craics, Fecks and Yer Mans at the drop of a hat. I barely need prompting, such is my seamless ability to switch from To Be Sures, to Crikey and Lummes, but the diesel was beyond me.
