My man at the Labour front line, who prefers to be identified as Doreen, tells me that a survey of 1300+ Labour activists carried out by Survation, asked members who they’d like gone in the next reshuffle.
Rachel Reeves topped the survey with some 46% of members demanding she be replaced and second was Liz Kendall, on 42%. Survey or not, rumours suggest that part of the price for Starmer’s 232nd U-turn, was Reeves’ head.
Yesterday’s YouGov poll of 11,500 rattled everyone in Labour as the self-righteous newbies realised how numbered their days might be. The central projection was Reform 271 - Labour 178 - Lib Dems 81 - Tories 46 - SNP 38 - Greens, PC and others 17. This would represent a loss of 233 seats if an election were held tomorrow.
