Aah, not much to say… so little time… and apparently so little energy!

I’m obviously confused and concerned - but unsurprised - because I thought we had just passed the Public Office (Accountability) Bill, aka the Hillsborough law, effectively establishing specific criminal offences—punishable by up to two years in prison—for public officials who intentionally or recklessly mislead the public, obstruct investigations, or fail to cooperate with the truth. Now it appears that the people running the National Grid (NESO) have, according to a brace of whistleblowers, been disingenuous regarding our national ability to boil a kettle AND run a TV simultaneously. Apparently, come winter it will be one or the other, unless you have a wood-burner in which case you are automatically sent to a labour camp in Slough.

However, I’m also assured by the new Minister, Bob Pravda-Dzerzhinsky, that we will all be much warmer when huddled around the bonfires of the vanities raging at No 10 Downandouting Street, Manchester.

Huzzah!

With the high level of research and power consumption needed to produce these meagre offerings, it is entirely conceivable that the power might have switched itself off by the time I get to… “and the winner is…”

On the other hand, if I’m going down, so is everyone, as Nanny used to say, falling to her knees.

Yesterday, thankfully, enough research was done to show a 25+ pt profit at Galway.
