The drums are beating over at Labour’s Disaster Centre, and whilst they haven’t quite got to sending out children dressed in white and with red-ribboned hair to hand out Labour lapel Pins, whilst singing We’ll Keep the Red Flag Flying Here - the panic is on.

The Queen Across the Water, Angela Rayner and the King of the North, Andy Burnham, have been seen on the doorsteps of Southwark, and Lucy Powell, too, is out door-stepping tonight. For Angela, it is a case of proving her worth to The PLP, especially those in the Anyone-But-Ange faction of the forthcoming New New New Labour PM. For Andy, canvassing in London keeps him in the thick of it, so he can continue his campaign to swap jobs with a sitting MP who hates Starmer.

The canvassing isn't too onerous because, at the moment, the tactics to save London from the Greens
