Underwhelmed, dismal, and woeful may all words that I’m sure the older members of The Lambourn Hellfire Club have used to describe the Port and Madeira racks at the Château d’If. They were certainly the words that described that pathetic effort made by this Government and then by the BBC at paying homage to the survivors of WWII who had made it through from VE Day.
