According to The Racing Post, Amo Racing’s multi-million-pound purchases at Tatts on Day 1 signalled their intention to compete at the highest level in British Bloodstock. Amo’s boss is Kiavash Joorabchian, an Iranian-born, British-educated businessman who has been a prominent football agent since the 2000s. He was, for example, involved in the deal that saw Argentinian internationals Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano move to West Ham in 2006 - this through his global football management company, Sport Invest UK, part of the Sport Invest Group, with their headquarters based in Czechia.

Both SIUK directors, Noorabchian and Nojan Bedroud (a FIFA licensed agent), own Media Sport Investment Ltd. This London-based international investment fund attracted considerable attention for its partnership between 2004 and 2007 with the Corinthians football club in Brazil and for its involvement in the 'third-party' ownership of players, notably Carlos Tevez.
